Hello, I'm a visual designer with interests ranging from interactive cartography and data visualization to generative art and painting. I'm currently making maps and graphics at the New York Times. Here are some stories I have worked on:
Previously, I worked with the graphics team at the Washington Post, the News Apps team at National Public Radio and the Los Angeles Times Data and Graphics team.
In February 2021, I graduated from Middlebury College with a joint degree in geography and computer science.
At Middlebury, I worked with Dr. Jeff Howarth, Dr. Guntram Herb and Dr. Carly Thomsen. My research with Professor Thomsen on crisis pregnancy centers and abortion access in the United States has been published in the journals Human Geography and Political Geography, as well as the Opinion section of the New York Times.
I am also a practicing visual artist, focusing on drawing, painting, and digital/generative techniques. You can view a selection of my work here.
